Hello, I'm  Rebecca!

I am an Interior Design student studying at Cardiff Metropolitan University, soon to be graduate. Eager to kick start my Interior Design career and expand my knowledge further!

​From an early age I have always been very creative and artistic with a passion for sketching, drawing and painting. My inspiration to become an interior designer started with me transforming rooms in my home to become more practical and by mixing and matching different styles I created new and exciting spaces for my family.

My recent focus has been on how, as an Interior Designer, I can make a difference to people’s lives and impact their wellbeing and happiness. I have concentrated on understanding how colours and textiles can be used to transform a space to be more functional and how different colours can positively change the mood of a room. I firmly believe that we should all take responsibility for preserving the world’s natural resources and consider reuse, finding new roles for existing buildings and spaces. I will promote sustainable designs during my career.

By reviewing my projects and comparing my first-year work to the third year, I have seen my growth not only as an individual but as a designer as the COVID-19 pandemic made me consider how external influences (e.g. social distancing) also impact interior designs. As I complete my degree, I am already looking for opportunities with interior design companies that will allow me to pursue my passion.

My ultimate goal is to expand my knowledge and skills to become an experienced and recognised interior designer.
